Artist statement:
 
The vase "luna futura" is the largest vessel I have yet created.
Throughout my expertise as a metalshaper, combining traditional with modern techniques of craft, I have searched for a way to reduce surface to create transparency in a metal sculpture.
 
With the aim of deconstructing the traditional idea of a vessel,the sculpture can hold a large flower, as shown in the pictures with wires, or act as a reflective light object.
 
Through the hand-shaping techniques, kept and groomed by 5 generations in the Aubock family, the surfaces create, hit by sunlight, brilliant light effects.
Subtle changes in the surface through moving the brass molecules shed brilliant light and are witnesses of the shaping process the object has underwent.
