Sheet Metal is just stubborn clay! In this course, we will stretch, shrink, bend and cut sheet metal (aluminum) as well as learn techniques for welding and sanding. At the end of this workshop you will know how to create seamless metal forms that can be used for art, automotive parts, or other various objects.

Carl Auböck V, a member of the fifth generation of the renowned Werkstätte Carl Auböck, is traveling from Austria to lead this exclusive hands-on workshop, which is limited to eight participants.

Carl Auböck V was born in Vienna, Austria on the 9th of August 1987. In 2016 he received the degree Dipl.Ing. of Architecture at Technical University of Vienna. Since 2021 Carl Auböck V has been a self-employed sculptor in 1070 Vienna where he has carried on the family tradition of metalworking and design

"I am honored and proud to be showing my work in the exhibition of the "Gallett Collection" in May of 2024. Generation 5 of the Auböck family synergically bridges the generations by combining traditional and modern techniques of sheet metal shaping, object, and industrial design."
